About Saffron Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga massage is a traditional form of therapy that originated in India around 2,500 years ago, making its way to Thailand alongside Buddhism. to this day It is still received in buddhist temples and is seen as a sacred practice.

-

This form of therapy primarily works with 10 main energy (sen) lines (Sip Sen) which are located throughout the body. this helps to clear energy blockages that can otherwise lead to feelings of dis-ease within the body. unblocking energy helps to improve free flow of energy, balancing our physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Applied yoga postures are used to give  lovely deep stretches and pressure points are massaged and stimulated.

Expect Thumbs, palms, elbows, knees and feet to skilfully  apply pressure throughout the practice. all are applied whilst using 'Metta'- a Buddhist loving kindness meditation.

-

The whole massage can be extremely meditative both for the receiver and the practitioner. During and after treatment the receiver should feel a deep sense of calm and relaxation, but feel energised at the same time. Positive and cumulative Effects can be felt for many days after the treatment.

receiving regular treatments helps to balance all bodily systems and has many great benefits, some of which are listed below.

-

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is performed fully clothed on a floor mattress. no oil is used on the body, although some may be applied when working on the face.

What is Thai Yoga Massage?

How is it beneficial?

My trips to Thailand over the years helped to spark my passion and inspired me to follow my path as a Thai Yoga Massage therapist.

On return from my most recent trip I began my training with Kira Balaskas at The School of Thai Yoga Massage, in London.

My other passion is Yoga and I have been practising for over 10 years. I love the calm and focus it brings to my life and I feel this goes hand in hand with Thai Yoga Massage.

I follow a holistic lifestyle where possible, making my own body products including Body-Soul Natural Deodorant and several oils.

I also have a Diploma in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching
